Company Story

Pacific West Development was founded on the vision of making it a diverse, family owned and operated real estate company, specializing in providing an uncompromised level of quality and sophistication to many different types of customers. For over 20 years, the company’s owners have played vital roles in the creation of numerous communities and commercial developments across the Southwest, resulting in the entitlement of nearly 6,800 lots, the development of more than 2,770 lots, and the construction of nearly 1000 homes, and numerous assisted living/memory care, and apartment projects. From masterfully crafted entry-level residences and exquisite luxury estates, to 5 star rated assisted living facilities and apartment projects, each development exemplifies the owners’ continued focus on excellence.

Pacific West Development utilizes a full design-build management approach to oversee the planning and construction of all of its communities and projects to ensure its customers’ expectations are met from start to finish. The company’s three main business segments of operations are a mix of residential and commercial projects ranging from all types of senior living facilities (assisted living/memory care/independent living), to apartments, and lastly residential production/custom homes. Currently, the company has several ongoing, beautifully designed communities and commercial projects. Daniel R. Dobron

Chief Executive Officer

Daniel R. Dobron serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Pacific West Development. Mr. Dobron has over 20 years of experience in the real estate industry as a builder and developer and is responsible for the oversight of all the Company’s residential and commercial operational activities including: development, construction, sales, and entitlement sides of the business. Since starting Pacific West Development, Mr. Dobron has been a vital role in building over 200 homes, apartment projects, and many different ground up senior projects inclusive of assisted living, memory care, and independent living.

Prior to starting Pacific West Development, Daniel held several positions with Innovative Communities. These positions included Division Manager, Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Entitlements and Development, Purchasing Manager, General Superintendent, Project Superintendent, and Project Sales Manager. During his eight-year tenure at Innovative Communities, he played vital roles in the process of entitling over 6,700 lots, developing more than 2,600 lots and building in excess of 700 homes.

Mr. Dobron holds an active California B-1 General Contractors License and a California Real Estate Broker’s License. Mr. Dobron attended Utah valley State College and Brigham Young University.

Andrew J. Dixon

President & Chief Financial Officer

Andrew J. Dixon serves as the President and Chief Financial Officer of Pacific West Development. Mr. Dixon has over 20 years of experience in the real estate and financial services industries specializing in acquisitions, dispositions, finance, and accounting for real estate investments. He is responsible for the company’s management, project acquisitions and feasibility, project dispositions, and project finance and accounting activities including: financial reporting, financial analysis, forecasting, and project financing.

Prior to starting Pacific West Development, Andrew served as the Chief Financial Officer of Innovative Communities. In that role, he expanded the company’s financial sources and executed project and company financing transactions in excess of $400 million. He oversaw the accounting and reporting of both wholly owned and joint venture entities which, on average, included more than 40 entities. In addition, he was tasked with oversight of the company’s quarterly combined financials and year-end audits. Prior to becoming Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Dixon held positions of Budget & Finance Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, and Project Sales Manager.

Before joining Innovative Communities, Andrew was a member of KPMG’s tax group, where he played a key role in the preparation of many large financial institutions’ tax returns. He also assisted on both audit and tax consulting engagements. Andrew holds both a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Accountancy degrees from Brigham Young University, is a licensed real estate agent, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the states of California and Utah.
